A Day in the Life of a Park City Personal Chef
Today, we're sitting down with our very own private chef, Charlotte Shores, to bring you the "behind the scenes" of curating an elegant dinner party.

Prep for her events actually start “2-3 days prior to all dinner parties," she says. "Prepping my shopping, to-do lists and making sure I contact clients to make sure there are no last minute changes." The key to a successful dinner party starts days before the actual event which is why she says staying organized is a critical aspect in the days leading up to every private event, class or dinner party.
On the day of, she enjoys a sweet pastry from one of her favorite local bakeries. Then, heads off to Salt Lake City for dessert prep and grocery shopping which she says includes a wide variety of specialty stores for top notch ingredients. She typically visits Caputo’s Market, Aquarius Fish Market, Beltex Meats, and her favorite grocery store, Harmon’s.
If I need specialty oils and vinegars, there is a great place on Main Street in Park City called Mountain Town Oil and Vinegar," she said. It's easy to see that Chef Charlotte has conducted her research and is well acquainted with only the highest quality products all while supporting local food suppliers.
"If it’s a multi-day job, I will usually hire a private grocery shopping service, like Park City Grocery Express."
Once her food ingredients are selected, she's off to pick up some delicious wines for wine pairings and/or beautiful floral arrangements if the client has requested them. To create padding in her timeline and plenty of room for prep, she arrives 3 hours prior to every dinner party. From there, she's at your service for an unforgettable luxury dining experience.
